Has anyone ever been to this place? I'm rollin through Tennessee on my way to Ft. Stewart, GA, and had made a stop for gas. Across the road from the gas station I saw this place. Decided to check it out...Huuuuge selection of different firearms, they had about 4 or 5 different .50 cal rifles even. The Glock section was fairly healthy too.
They also had pallets of pistol ammo- 45acp, 40 s&w, 9mm, even some 357 sig and 380. 500rd boxs of Wolf .45acp for ~$200 if I remember correctly. It can be found cheaper online, if instock, but then there's shipping etc. I wish I had been able to spend some more money there, I just picked up another new factory Glock mag for my G21sf. Friendly people too. One half of the building is the gun store, the other half is a restaurant.
Check it out if you're in the area.

The Outpost Armory is quite an interesting place and it is 20 minutes from my house.
Excellent selection of a wide variety of bulk ammo, accessories and fine weaponry. Is owned by Ronnie Barretts son or brother...can't remember for sure but it is the same family and I have seen Ronnie there from time to time.
Excellent folks and worth the trip if you are relatively nearby.
Right on I-24, west bound side just outside Murfreesboro, TN.

~edit~ HogGlocker....that was post #666 for you. lol!
I did not realize Barrett was so close as well. I'm in a hotel in Monteagle, TN now... I wish I had time to check out the Barret facility. I guess when Mark Walberg's character in "Shooter" referred to Tennessee as "the patron state of shooting stuff", it wasn't too far from the truth.

Yep, Barrett Firearms is right there in Murfreesboro. I've not gotten to go by there myself just yet...tours are quite hard to come by I understand though. I have considered trying to set up a tour for some other uniforms that I will be working with later on.
Nice that that exit was your chosen stop for gas.
Man, I've not been to Stewart since 2004....
Barrett is a big name in these parts as you could imagine....and they were right, "The Patron State of Shooting Stuff"
monteagle is a pretty good place to be. lol. i live in sewanee.bout 15 min from monteagle. i agree that the outpost is an awesome place. i used to go in there for burgers before it was a gun shop
Great place, just make sure if your buying something you think is new, it is actually new. Best selection around for sure. Regarding the celebration co-hosted by TNGUNOWNERS, the organization is cool, but the website it pretty rife with low level legally questionable stuff GT's TOS would never allow. Barret Mfg is right next door to the Outpost. No, they don't take impromptu tour requests.
