Out Next Theme Shoot at LRGC.... I need your input.

Friends,

We are considering another theme shoot at LRGC this winter. It will be called Return to Bastone.

Click the image to open in full size.

We would limit the weapons to those used in WWII i.e.

M1 Garand
M1 Carbine
Springfield 1903
K98
G43
Colt .45
Wather
Luger
Mauser
etc....

You get the picture. We would most likely do it in the late Winter. So would this be something you'd find of interest? Please post to this thread your thoughts.

Thanks,
Gary

That would be awesome.

I don't own any WWII era firearms...

But still...that would be awesome!

I am all for the themed shoots. I do not own a WWII rifle but do have a Colt .45.

I would like to see the themed shoot with the ability to shoot it with your regular black rifle. Only period shooters would qualify for prizes and honors. A "lowner" program would also be a good addition.

Would you considering coming out if there was an M1 Garand available for your use and all you had to do was pay for the ammo?

That is exactly what I was thinking of when I referred to a "loaner program". I would definitely be interested.

I'm getting final approval on this shoot this week. The response to this idea has been overwhelming. We will be changing the name however and a HUGE number of folks with Mosin Nagant rifles want in! So...... the new name of the shoot will be The Winter of 1944 at LRGC. Look for more details shortly and keep the 27th of February open on your calander.

Regards,
Gary

I think this is a great idea, although I'll probably working it. AIM Surplus has some Mosins for $89.95 and they just added M1 Carbines starting at $795.00.
