Sooo I was in a shoot out....

Soooo I haven't been on GlockTalk in a while. A lot has happened since, and now it's time to share.

It's Saturday Morning 2:58am...

I'm in the shower, relaxing and going through my routines. I was tired and had a long day working. I work from home and have too much audio equipment, Electronics, and 24 inch computer monitors to count. I noticed while I was shampooing, headlights of a car that just pulled up in front of my house. I can tell it was an older model car. A hooptie. the lights were dim and yellowish. I wasn't able to identify what kind of car it was at the time due to the shampoo and blurred out window. I can tell though that this car was not parked on my driveway but just on the street off to the side. another car pulls up but this time a little further down the street more in front of my house on the street and parked to the side.

I didn't think much of it. neighbor across the street is young and always has people hanging out at this hour.

I just finished rinsing The shampoo out of my hair and I begin shutting the running water. As stand there naked and just letting the water run off my body, I hear a slam from the front of my house and scuffles. My security alarm is going off but just the low volume high pitch squeal that goes off for 30 secs to give you enough time to disarm the alarm.

My muscles tighten. I quickly hop out the shower and grab my mini mac 11 that is under my bathroom sink mounted with two magnetic holsters.
I remove it off safety and crack the door open and shut the light off.

At this point I hear muffled voices and grunting. Bodies moving in my home with jackets and heavy footwear squeaking on tile. Sounded like 3 of them but I had no head count.

"Get to the back see what's here"
"tay is ready.. f^&k it"
"we got to comp quick, ***** is making noises"

All said in a ghetto accent.

I'm naked standing with a slight crouch around the wall.
Just then i hear

"let Tay in the back. check the back"

Cha Chickk..
I hear a shotgun cock...

"**** ya know what ya doin?"
"yuh"

Chills ran through my back thinking about what that shotgun can do to my naked body. Adrenaline is pumping through my veins at this point. I have 5 Firearms hidden throughout my house.

Mini Mac 11 w/32 rnds - under my bathroom sink
Taurus pt92 w 17 rnds - At bed side
Springfield XD w 16 rnds - in kitchen behind peanut butter.
Glock 19 w 15 rnds - Under Office Desk
Sks w 30 rnds - Spare Bedroom

The nearest phone to me is on my desk down the hall and out in the open area where these bodies are.
No time to call the police anyways, but I'm sure my neighbors are in the process.

I can tell my front door is open, I hear the back door open and more scuffles, shoe squeaks, and low talking. I hear the rain outside pouring.

This is all happening within seconds...

I peep around the corner and they are out of view.. I quickly and quietly slide across the hall to my room and crouch down with the my blacked out extended mac barrel lunging outside the doorway. Using the wall to hide my body.

Just then a body starts light jogging down the path way to straight to my room and bathroom area. It's the man with the shotgun, I see the light from the office area shine onto the barrel of it. He has it pointed up. Stupid move.

He's about 20 ft away walking heavily towards my way. I know he can't see me. Too dark and I'm too low to notice.

bang bang bang,

I let out three shots to the mans chest and neck area. He falls back and grabs his neck and drops the shotgun. My ears are ringing. I hear screams and shots ring out my way. I see another body creep out onto the pass way while he shoots at my bathroom.

House alarm starts going off.

Bang Bang.. two shots brings him down. chest and shoulder hit.
I hear the return bullets tearing through the wood of my door swinging it open and bullets hitting the back end of the room as we exchange shots
Thank god i was low. Nothing close to me but wood chips that are floating down on me at this point

Bang Bang Bang Bang as i see another body licking shots my way with no clue as to what he was hitting. None of my shots made contact on him, He was well aware as to the general directions of the shots are coming from and is taking cover in my kitchen.
I hear the man with the shotty in front of me stir up a little bit and groan.

"Tay shot! tay shot! Get that fire cuz!!"

I ring out more shots towards the kitchen area to get him to make a move.

silence..
No shots are being fired.

Just then the a body runs out pass the office into the kitchen and i hear
cursing and screaming.
They pull the second body i shot from his legs into the kitchen and I then noticed the guy with the shotgun getting pulled from the passway to the kitchen by his arm. Shotgun left behind.

I get on the phone and call 911.
Whispering and not paying attention as to what im saying..just kind of leaving the phone on the hook..
I say "shots fired and gave the operator my address" and left the phone on the floor.
I hear more wet sneakers and boots on the kitchen and out the door.
I hear crying, yelling and heavy breathing. I see a dark stain on my carpet passway from the man with the shotgun
I hear from outside tires and gravel drive off.

I stay in position for what felt a lifetime...
I hear
"Police.. Police!"
and a loud scuffle and take down.. bodys hitting the floor and weapons being drawn. Officers searching the house.

I yell out

"Police.. I'm owner of house.. Help"
Police come my way slowly, guns drawn. Bright lights shine the office area. and back end of house.I turn on my room light and feel a sense of security to be able to put my hands up. I inspect my body for damages. They take me down and kick my mac aside.

I'm the one who called 911. I was being shot at!"
officer responds
"We're getting you out of here for now."

I get escorted and we jog to the outside. A blanket gets thrown around my naked, wet, and cold body. there must of been 15 squad cars outside..

I'm shaking from all the adrenaline, As I'm seated in the back of the cop car. I think...
Holy ****... WTF just happened and Why? Who were those guys..

I see my neighbors in the distance..I feel like I'm the bad guy..I see my neighbors looking my way...I'm wet still..Cold..and it's feel good outside..warm after rain humidity..

After what felt like like an hours. sunlight was coming up.. The officers started dispersing..
They caught the 4 men at the hospital with different clothes on. One died. One seriously wounded.. They were drug dealers who raided my house because they thought it was a drug house or that someone lived in it before me that was heavy in drug business. I have my windows boarded up for hurricane season. I'm sure that didn't help deter them. The word "Fire" that one of the gunmen yelled out is slang for AK47. that would of been interesting. They left it in my office.

When i get let out the cop car. My neighbor gave the officer clothes for me to put on..some cargo shorts..they were tight.. I was relieved.
As i stand up for the first time in a long time..my heart pumps fast,
just as the medic starts walking my way..I black out..

I wake up in the back of an parked ambulance, family surrounded me..I felt relieved..

I've moved out of that house since then..safer place..
Lots of damage was done to my old house, My car somehow had a huge scratch on it..prob from one of the gunmen or officers..I put holes in my fridge when i was trying to get the gunmen to make a move. 52 inch TV was shot, multiple computer monitors. walls with holes.
doors with holes.....my dresser..
but at least no holes in me.

What a day....

Howdy,

Good thing you are ok.

When and where did this take place?

Gee this should have made the local papers and the local news too. How about a link?

If this is real.... that's crazy. You'd be dead without that gun in the bathroom.

Oh wow that is an incredible story, and great to hear it from your point of view. Glad you were not injured in the process and you have since moved out.

Thanks for your concern.
Sorry about some of the typos and inconsistencies. I'm not a writer of any sort
To clear up some things.... I had my cell in the bedroom that I called 911 from.
When the cops entered my house the take down was multiple doors opening and bodies entering my house with a BOOM, scuffles, and squeaky shoes.....

A little too real.
And whats funny is people always asked my why I needed so many guns.. Well, that's why. Spread throughout the house for what should never happen..

If this is a real story, I am very glad that it came out the way it did.

But I have to wonder about some things. Spectacular and heroic gun fight, and no news coverage posted over 24 hours later. Started at 2:58 AM - rather precise memory, not "about 3:00 AM." The exact position of two cars relative to the house and each other are correctly discerned by their headlights coming through windows, presumably with the drapes closed since OP is still in the shower. Lots of amazing detail, then the police wrap up the investigation before dawn, without even taking the victim/hero to the station. The BGs change clothes before going to the hospital, but are still together, and the police know pretty much everything about motive and such. And by evening, our guy has been released from medical care and moved out of a house that one would suspect is, as the site of a fatal shooting, being minutely examined and processed for evidence.

If this is a real story, I am very glad that it came out the way it did. I would advise OP to have a lawyer, and for all readers to never, never, never talk about a shooting to anyone without legal advice, let alone post their account on the internet for everyone - police, prosecutors, those who may be bent on revenge - to read.

If you read this as most of us did, you would connect the dots and realize he is saying this happened since the LAST TIME he posted on GT - which was back in May, and he has moved since.

I don't know the guy from adam. What would his motivation be for posting a big fat lie on the web, after not posting since May 25th?

Thank you for pointing that out - I had not picked up on that. I would edit my post, but it would make it confusing to read your response later, so I will let my gaff remain obvious and offer an apology for misreading that.

Hopefully OP engaged an attorney; if so, that would have been a wonderful thing to have included in his discussion of his case, and something even to emphasize as a teaching point. Criminal and civil liability can be an issue for years, so talking in such detail even a few months later would seem to be legally unwise.

My best wishes go to you and OP, in any event.
