LWD 9G Carbine
Here is a LWD 9G Carbine with a CMMG upper. What do you guys think?
Link to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jA41Z6xKTQ4
Just in case you wanted to know. That is a G23 lower with a LWD-SLIDE35, LWD-239XL Barrel, and LWD-DC1 Dust Cover.
This is my personal LWD gun.

That must be the pistol that you were switching magazines with....that was pretty cool. I think from a vesatillity/interchangablity stand point it's just plain awesome!
I need one in 10mm

The ones available were on our E-Mail blast last week, without blinking an eye we were sold out. More are on the way and will be back in stock soon. Here is a link to the complete receivers and the stripped. Next week I should have the “pistol” receivers, both stripped and complete will be available.

Great idea. One question, In the Email I got. It says a bolt modification is required for use with CMMG and Colt 9mm uppers. So what kind of modification is needed for it to work?

This is the best I can get you guys for now. I will have the drawing from my machinist soon. I hope from the photos the modification doesn’t look that difficult. I watched my machinist do it; it took about 10 min. from start to finish.
BMG22,
I don’t know if anyone makes a 40S&W upper. We are having our own uppers in 9mm, 40S&W, and 357SIG being built now. I do not have an ETA on them.

Rock River?
I currently run a RRA 9mm AR. If I purchased the stripped lower from LWD
would I need to make any other modifications for it to run properly?
I have been waiting for the MSAR 9mm bullpup, but this would be an even better setup since my RRA is already on hand and tricked out.
Thanks Ronin.45

LWD Armorer,
If you need a beta tester when you get them, sign me up! I really like the idea of a rifle/carbine like this that takes my Glock mags. Will yours have the carry handle like Olympics or the flat top?

Are there any plans for LWD to offer modified RRA/Colt bolts? Or completer 9 mm carbines? I ask because I plan on getting a 9mm suppressed SBR next year like this: http://www.ar15-ar15.com/PhotoDetail...e=RRA9MMA4SBRS and it would be great to be able to feed it Glock mags.

Ronin.45,
I have someone sending me a RRA bolt, should have it next week. About 90% sure the bolt is the only modification.
BMG22,
I would say the uppers are going to be flat tops. I am not much of an AR guy; if you wanted the carry handle don’t they make one that will mount onto a flat top?
Poor Knight,
All of LWD uppers (no ETA) will come threaded for suppressors. I am 99% sure we will offer SBR uppers as well. If you have a different upper, you can send us the bolt and have the modification done.
Complete Pistol Receivers Available. Check out the link below.

Thanks LWD
If you could update when you get the RRA bolt it would be appreciated.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. The only pistol cal upper I found online (a 9mm from Olympic) seemed to have the fixed carry handle. I could be completely wrong though.

Hey, AR-15 aficionados, could you run a .22lr upper, .22lr conversion bolt, and Advantage Arms .22lr mags? This would be awesome! If not, LWD you need to make one!

I'm pretty sure that Dan told me that there would be 9mm, 357 sig and .40 S&W complete carbines available soon, all using the same lower. That's why the lower receivers are stamped "9G multi cal".

For you guys wanting .357Sig & .40 Uppers, do you plan to run the "Asian" Stick Mags? I think an SBR in .357Sig would be Da Bomb!

Ronin.45,
The RRA bolt was identical to the CMMG. Same bolt modification.
Keninnavarre,
The bolt modification doesn’t do anything against your original conversion. Why buy another bolt? Would that not be a waist of money? Make the bolt modification, no matter what conversion you go with, the same upper and bolt go with what ever lower you want to use.
JohnH,
Doing everything we can do supply the lowers. Working one the 9mm, 40S&W, and 357sig uppers. The 22cal uppers will fit in some day.
Archer-one,
Correct. Like I said before, trying to fill the demand. Sorry about any wait.
I am building some more lowers this weekend. Should have some back in stock next week.
