Just saw the new LASERLYTE rear sight glock laser!

Just saw this new style laser at a local store! The LaserLyte Rear sight laser only for GLOCKS!

This may be my solution to finding a laser! Replaces the rear sight..

has an on off switch...
has pulse AND contant beam...
and best of all since it replaces the sight it has NO grip issues and fits ALL holsters!!

Just what I was looking for!!

VERY COOL!!!!

I haven't looked at them in detail, but I love the concept. Does it have a remote switch or do you have to manually switch it on each time?

You have to manually switch it on.. Little button on one side.. the laser is on the other..

I really like it.. Like I mentioned.. I think it has all the features I wanted!

Looks like two teats on a Boar Hog. Stupid too since it will obscure your view of the target.

I'm not big on lasers, but what this thing needs is some sort of a pressure switch on the grip.

Yes, I realize it would break contact and the laser would turn off as soon as the slide started moving. But think about it. The gun is in recoil anyway and the laser would not be on target anyway. By the time the slide closed and you were re-aligning on the target the laser would be back on. You would probably never notice it turning on and off.

I still think it is something for the OTHER guy to have. While he's trying to find his dot on me, I'm going to be doing a full fighting drawstroke and lighting HIM up the old fashioned way!

The only thing I don't like about mine is the red LED that appears on the right (laser) side when the laser is turned on. It pretty much takes your attention away from the regular sights. I solved the problem by affixing a small piece of electrical tape over the LED. Kind of like doing the same thing with the old VCR clocks that used to blink at you if any of you remember those back in the day.

I have read that twice now and I don't believe it. Mine has been on longer than that and not gone dead.

I you are anything like me the rear sights on my G26 carry gun has a tendency to get bumped quite often when I carry.
So I would think that this design would be too vulnerable to damage.

I have been carrying with the laserlyte non-stop since I bought it last month and have had no issues with snagging or printing or anything. I did change the batteries last week, but I play with the laser a lot when I do dry-firing.
Hopefully I can get out next week and do some real testing with it, but I think that its a great accessory so far.

I wonder how well it will hold up under heavy use. The motion of the slide slamming back and forth might take a toll on the internals.

Got my Laserlyte sights for my G27 beginning of July. Took the gun out today and found the batteries were dead. Replaced them with the spare set that came in the original packaging. Still like them but with hindsight would probably have been better off with Crimson Trace.
Recently put Crimson Trace on my Ruger LCP and they are the best yet!

They must be tough, in a demo the guy slammed a large nail through a 2 by 4 with the sight while it was affixed to a glock, worked fine after the test....i think its a good idea i have had ct and lasermax on my guns the ct made the grip trro fat and the lasermax red dot was to small not bright enough....ct has the largest red dot, easy to see in daylight,,,,,,is the laserlyte dot small it appears in the demo to be....

mikegun, yes, it is certainly smaller, and less bright, than the light emitted from the CT on my Ruger LCP. The laser max sight on my S&W 37 J frame is brighter and larger than both of them.

I just affixed this on my old G23 carry piece. I fell in love with the idea since I didn't want to take off my grip cover and lack a front rail to mount anything on. Plus, the guide rod lasers cost twice as much!

the indicator light (not an LED, it's actually a little bit of the laser light redirected to be visible) is not as bad as people make it out to be, even in low light it's no worse than aiming past the hallway night light.

ambientweather.com has it for ~$150, and I managed to get it for $158 after tax at my shooting range by mentioning that.
