.45 acp rifles
I have a few questions:
Does anyone know much if anything about Mech Tech System Inc.?
Does anyone know where to get just the Glock model 21 frame?
Is there any rifles ready to go that accept .45 acp glock model 21 magazines? I know that kel tec has the sub2000 in 9mm and .45acp, but I haven't found a rifle in .45 other than the Thompson.

ruger made a camp rifle in 45. i have been looking into this as well. the Kriss Super-V is out now but is crazy expensive. it uses the G21 mags and has a mag extension for the G21 mags as well.

guy at the range today had a barretta carbine (cx storm?) in .45acp that looked pretty fun. He also had a G21. They didnt exchange mags... but at least they shot the same ammo.

I thought that Beretta only made the cx storm in 9mm and .40 cal? I have only seen those two. Did you ask any questions about it? I would like some more information on it.

i looked up the beretta 45 online. it seems to be a decent gun. they also make the cx4 pistol in 45 as well so maybe they use interchangeable mags?

I saw a couple conversion kits for glocks and 1911s, I think the name of the company was something like meca.

You can still find used Marlin Camp Carbines on Gunbroker chambered in .45acp but they accept 1911 magazines.

I have used a Mech Tech. It's on my long list of items to pickup. Pistol Calibers in a rifle are GREAT training tools! It seemed fine and worked okay. Could be better, but the owner wasn't what I would call a saavy firearms owner... I did not get a chance to tear it down and look at it, so I really can't comment on quality or maintenance - Seemed accurate enough!
On the G21 receiver - Just have to keep your eyes open in the For Sale forums. Haven't seen a .45 receiver in the past so you may be off to your local LE Glock FFL to order one up. That is one way to do just the receiver... you can always pick up a used or refurbed G21 for a decent price. That would probably make the most sense to me.

I am also looking for extended magazines (much like the 33 round mag for the 9mm)

A little off topic but- I always wanted one of the enfields that were shortened and chambered for 45acp. Always thought that'd be a neat little gun.

Kriss makes a mag extension for the G21 mags for their new Super-V. the extensions will also work in the G21 as is. the link above appears to be sold out. may have to look elsewhere
