That points out the absurdity of this 50/50 split. Why should a woman get half a man's salary (potentially until his death) merely because she played roommate and cooked some meals.
Turn it around--why would a woman choose to have kids and/or stay home if she gives up any chance of a meaningful career to do so?
Career women are putting off kids until too late in life already.

The judge should be beaten (a little extreme??) because Jim didn't get a pre-nup or live outside of "community property" or whatever?
Like has been mentioned, Jim ain't gonna be hurting for cash (he makes nearly $7 million a year), his daughter is well provided for, and he has a gal 21-years his junior. No big deal.
I don't care if he's making $10 billion a month, she deserves none of it if she wasn't even supportive of his career.
