Show some love for Pensacola!

Who will be rolling in to FL and the eastern portion of the Redneck Riviera?

The father-in-law and I will be heading out from the Lone Star state Friday for the weekend. Apparently BamaTrooper is promising to put on a display of marksmanship seldom seen by mortal man and then we are going to go shoot with him at the match on Sunday.

Yes, shower you with blessings and brass. Then you can drink those sissy drinks you favor.

Better watch it, we're not bringing the wagon this time, so you are hauling your own crud around.

For once it will be a 15 min.(yes 15 min) drive to go to a shoot. No hotel, flight, long drive. You can bet I will be there.

I will be driving down on Sat. And will shoot Sunday, then drive back to home.

It will make a long weekend. But it will be worth the drive to send rounds downrange.

We have traveled to Canton for the GSSF match since there first one! The River Bend Gun club is one of the nicest shooting facilities we have seen in the South!

Looking forward to seeing you at the NWFBC IV.

Hotels/Motels for the Pensacola GSSF Match

Fellow GT'ers in the FL panhandle.
I have a lodging question for this match. Which hotel/motel is the best, cleanest, and safest along I-10 area near the match? I am looking $50 per night range.

Thanks,
Roadkill_751

As an extra added attraction.

Scott usually brings some old, scrapped plates that they hang from rebar rods on the rifle range.

Saturday, after the match, the rifles come out for an informal "gong show".

Anyone who wants to particpate (Saturday only) bring your rifles and ammo!

Nwfbc iv

I just saw the weather forcast from the Pensacola TV station (WEAR3) and it could not be any better!!!! Sunny, Highs in the mid 70's and low's in the mid 50's! No chance of rain in the forcast!!
No excuses for not traveling to NW FLA to enjoy the beautiful weather and the Northwest Florida Ballistic Challange IV!

I had hopes to go. Got hit with a mandatory Saturday night overtime shift from 10 pm to 6am Sunday and that put a kibosh on that. :(

Visited Friday, and can tell you that Scott Gilbertson has a great team of Range Officers who got set up early and are Good To Go!

Hit the match if you possibly can. You'll have a great time.

Well, 4 members of Team Alabama Holster will be rolling in tomorrow morning around 9.
Weather should be good, hope my shooting lives up to it.
