Ranges in DC Area

I will be visiting the DC area in a couple of weeks and would like to know of a range where I can rent a Glock since I will be flying and can't take mine along. My son lives in Falls Church, VA, so the ones closest to this area will be most convenient.

Visit the NRA Range in Fairfax. I'm not sure about pistol rentals there.

Thanks, I will check out Blue Ridge on line. My son has been to the NRA range once but he doesn't remember seeing any rentals. I will try to get more info about them as well.

Any other suggestions?

Hey, you could try out Gilbert's Small Arms Range. They just underwent renovations and a name change, but the website and address are still valid. They also have rental guns, and are very friendly.

Yes there are no rentals at NRA. There used to be one in Woodbridge but it was closed down. The only other I can think of is Maryland Small Arms

Too bad there are no rentals at the NRA range, cause you could check out the National Firearms Museum while you're there.

Too bad about the NRA range since my son and I are both NRA members. The Maryland Small Arms Range looks more interesting than Blue Ridge just based on the range rates. Ultimately, I will let him decide where we go. It sure would be handier if I could convince him to buy a Glock in the next 2 weeks!

He currently only has a S&W M&P9.

Although I understand they are fine guns, his doesn't fit my hand as well as my G19.

I hope you mean the one in VA, because the Gilbert's indoor range in Rockville is run by a bunch of morons.

Yeah the one in Lorton/Springfield off of 7100. I keep forgetting their new name though.

+1 for On Target. They are friendly and have a decent selection. Ammo price is comparable to other places as well. Due to ammo shortages in the area, I believe they may have a limit on ammo/box purchases per day.

Silver Eagle Group in Ashburn is nice too, Glocks rent for $15.

We ended up going to the Gilberts in VA. It is just off 95 and really easy to get to. Ammo prices are better than some I have seen for a range. They have a good selection of rentals and last Friday there were only 2 other shooters while we were there. It was a good time and I thank everyone for their suggestions.
