SF since 1997. Noe Valley, a few blocks from High Bridge- the last gun store in SF.

Wow... we're neighbors. I live in the Sunset and work in the Mission.
Someone asked how Cali got so screwed up when it comes to gun laws.
Here's my take on it;
The gun control debacle of CA is the result of very VOCAL anti-gunners combined with complacent shooting enthusiasts.
In the late 1980-s when the Assault Weapon ban was brewing, I couldn't believe how many of my shooting buddies were very quick to side against me. "I don't own an AK." "What you want an UZI for?" "None of my guns are plastic."
This attitude that their choices were somehow better than mine, or that mine weren't worthy of defending made it very easy for the antis in Sacramento to divide us (the shooting public). Then they passed a hi-cap magazine ban. Then they banned the .50 Cal. Now they are going to limit sales on ammunition.
It'll continue this way until enough of us get together to resist them. Any of you not on Calguns.net... come over and see what's brewing.

Not any Longer...
I was in ParkMerced and then the Exclesior.
I'm Living In Exile with the Sons of Anarchy (south of Lodi).
I worked at a GunShop in '94 and remember folks coming in to buy magazines whenever they saved enough dispose-able income to do so because the prices were going-up with every new shipment. I wish I had saved for the RCBS Rockchucker Kit, M1A, and H-Bar AR while I could have gotten the employee discount!

Lots of guys from Fresno, eh? I wish PRK Arms was farther north for me. They have a pretty cool inventory actually.
Fresno's still a drive from Charming or Lodi, right, Jeager? I was one of those guys, buying hi-caps for firearms I didn't even own yet. It was getting really expensive as 99 approached, too.

Sad to say, although Highbridge fought the good fight to remain in SF, they're throwing in the towel. Highbridge Arms will be shutting their doors and rumor has it, they'll be moving to SSF or San Bruno. Too much nonsense with the city and county for them to remain here, I guess.
So, chalk one up for the antis down at city hall... %$#@ers!

Hate to admit I did my time in FresNo! '67-72 Hoover High, and '89-92 w/ a crazy woman whose bro had one of the last home-addressed FFLs. (almost time to go back)
I recall going to the CowPalace for a gunshow, but all I could afford was the entrance fee. Got a days' long entertainment and cleansed my mind of all that crap being at SF State. Last I heard there aren't any more shows at the Livestock Pavillion.
"They" were even going to tear it down!

You got that right. Not a fan of Fresno. But at least you aren't far from Yosemite.

I live in Fresno County, a few miles east of Fresno/Clovis, it's good to see quite a few others from the San Joaquin Valley.

Hi everyone.
I'm from Los Angeles originally.
Anyone who lives near Davis? Need a shooting buddy.
