Got a Daniel Defense question,......
Has anyone tried a Daniel Defense Omega X 12.0 FSP rail?
Interested about these.

Yeah, I *think* that is the same Omega that came on my new DD upper last month. Certainly a quality rail but I haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet (still waiting on a lower for my upper).
If that is the same Omega I'm referring to btw, Bravo Company has those on sale for $179 - looks like they are sold out right now though. :(

I never could get used to the long rail with the FSB sticking out the middle.

Thanks for the replies,.......
I just may go with a Daniel Defense Lite 7"
Not sure I really NEED all the real estate the FSP would give me.
But, the 7" Lite is only about 5.5 ounces lighter.

If I had to pay full price I would have gone with the lite rail. But rather the 9 inch version. I got the Omega 12 because it was half price.

Thanks Pat,
I can get a smokin' deal on the 7" Lite rail and the FSP.
However, I have but ONE AR15 right now. I really like the attributes a
Carbine provides. But I do like the long rails as well. I like the idea of the uber reliable FSB.

Wait until after the SHOT Show. DD will have some more rails in the mix. I'm looking at getting a 12.0 Omega X without the FSB cutout once they are available. I like the profile of the rail at the receiver, (kind of like the KAC URX) and the QD cups.

If you are looking into 7" rails, consider the DD Omega 7" - "no gunsmith install", free-float, and BCM and other sites had them on sale recently as low at $180 (might be out of stock too, though). I put one on my 'back-up'/less expensive AR, it is solid.

Ran into an issue with my truck,......
Looks like this rail idea will be on hold for a bit.
Guess I'll stick with the KAC M4 RAS a while longer.
