Buying a New or used G38...
I am buying a G38 with my taxes next week. I can order a new one on GB for $400 +$20/shipping+$15FFL fee which is what I was planning to do.
However, I went to my local gunstore yesterday and they have two used G38s. The one I was looking at has TruGlo TFOs on it, plus 3 mags and the trigger is VERY light(I would be replacing it with a new stock setup so I don't care) They want $500/otd
Should I buy the used one with the TFOs OR a new one on GB?

Basically they're charging you for used night sights and an extra mag.
Get the new gun and put whatever night sights YOU want later. Extra mags can always be found here for sale later on for decent prices, or you could wait for CDNN to have another sale on magazines.
Just my $0.02

Check out Gunbroker.com.
There's a vendor that sells new Black and OD G38's for $389, +20 Shipping & Handling, plus whatever transfer fee you'd have to pay to your local FFL.
It's about the same price range as what you're looking at now, but it gives you an option to buy an OD one if that's what you want.

That's who I was going to order it from
I would rather have a new one anyways, I just wanted to get some 2nd opinions. The TFOs were the sights I planned on getting installed if I bought a new one. I was kinda worried about the used one, once I pulled the trigger(very-very light) I can change it back to original, but I shouldn't have to for that price. If I get one, It will be the new one. I kinda want an OD G39 also
My tax check needs to hurry.

Do a search for "Glock 38". It'll be one of the featured auctions.

I bought one from the seller on Sat Night. (A G39). I don't see his G37, G38 or G39 listed anymore. Keep checking, they were $389.00 plus $20 Shipping, all OD Green.
I typed GAP in gunbroker and they all popped up.

Thank you. It had to be one of the auctions that closed recently because I know I saw them with I think a "Buy Now" price.

The minute I bought mine another with a 24 hour clock took its place. The Seller communicates quickly too. I should get it (It will be in jail for 10 days) soon.

I broke down and used my GSSF certificate and bought a new G38 with the factory night sights and 3 mags from a local police supply house. I wanted an OD frame but they weren't available. I'm already hooked on the 45 GAP and I've only fired 24 rounds so far.
