After shooting pistols and bolt-action rifles guns for many years, I'm looking at getting my first AR.

I have been reading alot about AR's over the past few months, and one of the guns I've been really interested in is the DDM4 by Daniel Defense.

Today, I went to a gun shop about an hour away from me and it turns out that he has 2 DDM4's in stock. He says that he just stopped selling the brand due to price changes or something, but he his now selling off the last two DD rifles at a discount.

He is asking $1229 for a NIB DDM4. Does that sound like the low low price that he is making it out to be?

These are the first Daniel Defense guns i've seen locally so I have nothing to compare. This is slightly more that I was looking to spend on my first AR, but don't mind springing for it if its a good deal.
