Pick a pair! New PS90!
Got my 2nd PS90 in last week... And my side rails came in today...
Here is a picture... best I can do until I have time 1 day to take a nicer pic in the sun outside....
I'm leaving the stock optic on this one, as I want a battery free version. I love my eotech and the stuff attached to my 1st one - but it's also nice to have a low profile one as well.
I just need to get a sling for the 2nd one now...

No, not really interested...
2 years or so ago, I actually had a SBR receiver on order from CMMG. They messed up for some weird reason and sent off their expired FFL info to the ATF. They wasted 3 months of my time, and I got fed up with their games and cancelled the order.
I don't feel like dealing with all the strings attached to a SBR - and the PS90 with the 16" barrel is shorter than a SBR AR15. So, I'm satisfied with it the way it is. plus, there is about 200 extra FPS with the extra 6 inches on the barrel...

Well, I have the first one - and I REALLY, REALLY like it with my EOtech and other stuff. I've had it 4 years now.
But, after my recent foray into owning an MSAR, I see that I like the platform of the PS90 the best, and I like the 1000% reliability of the PS90 platform better. I also wanted a battery free carbine.
That was to be the MSAR I got in Dec 2009, but the stock sight was too low to decently use. And once I put a rail and an Eotech on it, it wasn't battery free anymore.
Plus, while the MSAR was very reliable - it wasn't 100%+. And, when an issue arose, sometimes ya had to pull the whole barrel out to clear the problem - you can be out for 5 min trying to clear it up. I prefer the PS90 reliability, and the PS90 is also 10,000 times easier to clean.
So, I sold the MSAR and got a 2nd PS90

It's the standard USG sight.
It's a black ring with a small black dot in the center.
In the dark when you can't see the black ring, the tritium glows and makes a "T"
Here is the daytime view:

These are growing on me. (Just wish they were 1/2 the price)
How easy it it to remove and reinstall the barrel? (Thinking of suitcase or briefcase size storage.)

The barrel doesn't come out of the receiver - but the entire receiver can come off the stock with the push of 1 button. I have never seen a rifle as easy to take apart and clean as the PS90.
The stock and the receiver off the stock are each 16 inches long.
Here is a pic I found online of the parts:

Yes, ts very nice. And normally, the trigger pack doesn't get dirty at all. So, you really even needn't remove parts #1 and #3 (in that photo) very often.

Is the barrel 16 inches without the flash hider?
Any idea what threads on the flash hider?

No, it is 16" WITH the flashhider. The hider is pinned to the barrel. It IS possible to drill out the pin and remove the hider, but many people who try it give up and just use a hacksaw to cut the hider off. You cannou remove the barrel without taking the hider off - and the guys who want to SBR generall just give up and cut it off.
I do not know the thread size, but you could go to the Fn Forum and ask. I've seen it mentioned before.
However, once the hider comes off, you have a sub 16" barrel. Be aware of that.

I have the green PS90. I love it. Ammo is a little pricey, but I do not mind. I buy a little at a time. It is great to shoot.
