I thought they were stock grips, but maybe I'm wrong.
They look very similar to the grips on my KC.

Wow Gary.
First off, to the forum.
Secondly, where did you find that beautiful Unertl DLX?
I haven't even seen a Unertl on Gunbroker for over a year and that wasn't even the DLX. How do you like it?

Thanks I found it at a local gun show here in WI.I thought I vaguely remembered something about Unertl building 1911's.I went home and looked on the internet found a little info (mainly your posts) and went back the next day and bought it.I like unusual guns and the Unertl is that.I paid $1400,,but it only came with the soft case and 2 mags, no instructions, hard case or eye and hearing protection.

Very cool.
Mine was unfired and complete with everything, but I did pay a bit more, IIRC.
I'm amazed that you found one at a show. I've been to dozens of shows here in PA and don't recall ever seeing one.

This one was fired, but it is the only one I ever seen. You go to enough gun shows you see just about anything once.I've thought about trying to assemble the complete kit.I think the hard case is a Storm 2100,were the other parts Unertl branded ?
Thanks,
Gary

Gary, I've had mine for so long, that I forget what all came with it.
I do know its a Storm hard case. I'll try to take a pic of everything tomorrow and post it.
BTW, I've seen all sorts of crazy stuff at shows, but never a Unertl.

I don't currently own a 1911. I did babysit one for a friend while he was doing a tour in Iraq. It was a Kimber Custom II. I took it to the range a few times but I was not able to shoot it as well as most of my other sidearms. I am sure that the inaccuracies were entirely my fault since others who have shot this gun remarked on how deadly accurate it was.
Anyway, since my experiences with the Kimber were unremarkable, I will probably not be seeking to add a 1911 to my stable anytime soon (I have a list a mile long of guns I want to add to my accumulation), however, I do feel that my collection will not be complete without at least one 1911.

If you're referring to the Valley Forge show, I'm not surprised.
