9mm advancements

Hi, Mas

Back in the 70's, 80's, etc the 9mm got a fair amount of negative opinions from quite a few people as to its use as a self-defense round.

Today we have new propellants and very advanced bullet designs resulting in better, higher performing handgun ammunition than has ever before been seen.

I'd like your opinion on the viability of the 9mm for self defense in the 1980's compared to the 9mm of today.

Between significantly improved bullet design and greater availability to the shooting public of hotter loads, I think the 9mm is definitely a better bet today than it was in, say, the year 1980.

best,
Mas
