Hangup in G22 mag.

Visited Siberian (no lie) Rod & Gun Club today (an outdoor range) and the weather was sunny but temperature was at or below 0 F.

With UMC flatnosed FMJ ammo, one of my mags (which was loaded to full 15 round capacity) was not releasing the shells. On closer inspection, I found that the rounds were stuck with nose angled downward a bit into the mag and were hanging up on the upper front edge of the mag. No amount of thumb pressure on the shell could make it slide out of the mag because it was caught behind the front edge.

I found that holding the mag vertically and giving the floor plate a good solid rap on the table DID reset the ammo into the correct position, but it hung up several times, and had never done this before.

When I got home and reloaded the magazine the bullets lined up fine.

-Has anyone had a similar experience?

-Could it be that the frigid temperature had anything to do with the problem?
