Extended mag's. for the 36
How many of you guys carry your 36 with the extended mag. I carry my 36 with the 6 rd. mag. and one in the chamber. I also carry an extended mag. on my belt. That way I have 7 in the gun and 7 in the next mag. Easier for me to count rounds. Maybe I am getting old.

If I'd carry the G36, that's how I'd do it.

I carry it that way. extension +1. No feed issues, adds very little to overall height, maybe 3/16. Makes for a much better shooter, actually. No more mag pinch, either.
They're cheap, buy one and try it. $8. You'll be buying another in a week.

Would be nice if they had a + more than just one.

I've got two +1 extensions but, for the life of me, can't get the baseplate off the bottom of my stock mags. Any advice...never had this happen on any other mags!!!

You've got those side tabs to deal with. Pain. I just cut those tabs off because I like to clean my mags often. No biggie.

@KC - "side tabs" what the heck are those? Am I the only one having this issue? Just tried again, thought I was gonna stab myself. Gonna have to find another tool...

I wedge a small flat device (i.e. butter knife) down either side of the mag base to contend with the side locking devices and then use a punch to depress the mag lock on the bottom.

Easier if you've got 3 or 4 hands. Somebody makes a special tool for that, but I said screw it, cut 'em off...
Clark is right, butter knife is a perfect tool for the 1st time.

Same here.
No reason, IMHO, to add more variables to the mix.
Mine always works.
Always.

I carry a 6 in the gun and a +1 on my side or in pocket. I've used the +1 mags plenty...they always work.
BTW- figured out how to remove baseplate with the help of two butter knifes and plenty of patience, thanks for the advice (even though my wife was not to happy to see me using her silverware!)
