Best printed 10mm load data source?

I'm am brand new to reloading as I stated in a previous post. I have just completed setting up my bench and read both the Lee 2nd Edition and the Lyman 49th Reloading manuals but both manuals don't list every 10mm bullet loading as far as size goes.

Is there any better complete source book for 10mm loadings?

I'm looking to initially reload the 10mm FMJ and then 40 s&w and plan on using the same powder for both applications. Probably in the range of 300 rds a month. I have not decided on powders, primers or bullets yet. I am looking at Rainier bullets though. I already have once fired (by me) brass in both calibers.

I use Hodgdon's powders and go to their web site for loading data.
As for powder I like Longshot for the 40 S&W and IMR 800-X for 10mm.
R-P brass for 40 S&W and Starline for 10mm, CCI primers for both.

You can use data from similar bullets and down load some (10%) and work up to where you want to be.

There are also load books for specific calibers, I have one from MidWay USA for the 10mm/40S&W. It has data from different bullet and powder companies. It states on the front 2,667 Proven & Tested loads, 68 various bullet designs and 50 different powders. Less than $10.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I seen that on Midway USA but it had mixed reviews, but like you said under $10 is a winner. I'll pick it up and check it out

+1
I have a half dozen reloading manuals, but this is the one I thumb through first.

I use Accurate Arms No. 7 powder for 40 S&W and 10mm and their downloadable load guide has a lot of 10mm bullets listed, including lead. I also have and like the "One caliber one book" guide for 40 S&W and 10mm but it's a little out of date when compared to the data available from the bullet & powder companies.

I do plan to pick up some Longshot powder as soon as I find a local source or see it at a gun show.

It helps to review some of the older data to compare what is being shovled out these days...

That's why I keep my old Speer #11 manual around. Although after I blew a magazine out of my G34 with one of their Blue Dot loads (a half grain below their maximum), I do cross check this manual now.

Bass Pro Shops carry Longshot here but charge 29 per pound. Looking work up some loads for 135,150,155,165 grain bullets
