My earliest G-17 is a 2nd Gen KV***US series, but can we start a lowest numbered G-19 next as I have a 2nd Gen G-19, BX***US that has to be an earlier import.

Trying to date my buddies G17 for him, AU 6XX US is what he sent me. I know he got it used as a B-Day gift while we were in high school, 87'-89'. STH is the three letter code.

Thanks

Looks like a May-July 1986 manufacture date.

Yup, the STH date code shows it was made in May of 86, and it was apparently imported to the US in July. The prefix 'AU' was the ninth shipment of 1000 G17's imported.

I have AL65xUS. Shoots good, feels better in the hand than a Gen 3 (to me, anyway), and has a big "cool factor" when I use it at a match. Had the upgrade done at a GSSF shoot, but kept all the old parts in case I want to return it to original.

!

I just bought a Gen 1 gun at a GSSF match a couple of weeks ago. The serial number is AH 6XXUS. The barrel code is BTM.

I bought my G17 Mar of 1987. AZ7XXUS with a barrel date code of CTH. At the time I paid $390.00. I wish I could get a new one for that price now. I've only put a couple thousand rounds through it but as many have stated it's been the most reliable handgun I ever purchased.

I've had AA6XXUS since July 1990...I bought it used from an armorer who supplied weapons for Hollywood films. I never got any history on it, would love to find out if it was one of the Glocks in Die Hard 2.

What would be the value of a p80 gen1 17? A Gen1 P80 would be older than an AAxxx gun, right?

Gen 1 Collection

I personly own 8 Generation 1 G17 (AH/AK/AL/AS/BC/BS/CV/CX) and 3 Generation 1 G17L (DA/DA/DB). All have the original black parts/serial number plate, original loader (with the Glock imblem on the top, not side) and the right tubberware boxes. Several are NIB and have never been fired. The only Glock I'm missing is a 1st Generation 19. I even have a Austra Glock P9M (2nd Generation) with Made in Austra without the Smyrna, US stamp.

Would you please tell me what the date code is on the barrel of your G17 that starts with CV? I don't yet have that one listed in my Gen1 project.....Thanks!

BS should have a date code of 'ITT', which shows it was made in September of 1988.
