Not here. I hope it holds off for a little while, as I have firearms qualification this week.
Up for a little bit. Sugar was low when I woke up, so I got up and ate left over pizza. Now, it is probably the opposite, LOL.
Speaking of firearms, it seems like a lot of people from the area, including here in Leavenworth, were standing in line to try to get off some practice time at the state range. I learned that in order to get on the firing line I may have to show up when it opens; whenever it is a week end day. I may try for Monday. It is supposed to rain some, and maybe there won't be near as many. That would be good training, eh?
So, I went back to the house, and cleaned my rifle. It still had some leftover cosmoline in the barrel. Now the inside of the barrel is cleaned and coated in Breakfree. I just need to shoot it and see how I am with this particular weapon.

Don't we all. The downside is, my sister has turned into one. Even my mother, who's been known to happily call herself a hippy before, agrees she's off in far-left la-la land. *shakes head sadly*

My sister used to be pretty hardcore left but even she saw the light after working and also marrying a hard core conservative who does not back down in discussions. She's still left leaning but not openly hostile.

Note to self: when the boss says "We supply you with everything you'll need." what he really means is "We'll give you what we think you need." i.e. duty belt, handcuffs and a key.

Tasers are fun And multiple pairs of gloves are a must. I'm pretty paranoid, with all the diseases I work around now.

I have survived Cuban detainees. If I can survive that I can survive about anything. (Checks self), where the heck did that come from?

If you get a taser, you need oil based oc to go with it. Youtube if need be for instructions.

Day two of DOD Hazmat Certifier (Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials). This is a 4-credit-hour college course condensed into two weeks, literally. 6 books, plus 3 more added next week to cover vessels, commercial air, and military air.

4 semester or quarter units?
Either way, cramming a full 4 unit course into 2 weeks means 5x longer courses per day minimum. You gotta basically cram 40 hours into 2 weeks of time and allow for full comprehension and retention.

4 semester hours. And it's an 80-hour course. Full time job for two weeks.

Got it. My math was off a bit. 3 quarter units = 40 hours in 10 weeks. 6 quarter units (4 semester) units is 80 hours.

Damn guys. A friend had a medical emergency while driving and crashed his patrol car tonight. If you pray, pray for him, please.
I can't go into the specifics, but he's in the ICU right now. We'll find out more later.
