OD Glock
What is the hardest OD Glock to find? Did they make fewer of one than the others, or are the more populars caliber harder to find?
Maybe I asked the wrong question. I will try a more direct approach. I like the 9mm Glocks better from a ammo cost perspective, so I am focusing mainly on collecting them. The problem is that if I am buying OD for collecting and not going to be shooting them, are some more collectable than others?

No none were ever made in OD. I saw Tampa shooter put a Gill slide off of his G19 on his OD G19. it looked good.

I'd say the .357 sig and .45s might be rarer. I mostly see OD 19/23. I have a 19...not looking at collector value, I just like how it looks.

29 OD. Had a chance to pick one up for the same price as a 29SF. Passed on it. Thats the only one I have seen.

I swapped the slides and trigger assembly on my G34 OD green and my G22 RTF. Now my G34 has the RTF frame which is pretty sweet!

I don't know about collectability, but I've had a hard time finding a used OD green G26 for less than $500. Even if I could actually locate one, and even at $500, I wouldn't pay that much for a used Glock. I'd speculate we'll see new Gen 3 and/or 4 OD Glocks produced again. Glock now knows used ones sell for more that standard black new ones do. They will probably figure out they can run a batch of 10,000 for a list price $50 more than normal, for merely doing something they've already done before (dumping a few colored polymer beads into the vat). I bet we'll see a run of OD Gen 4's (maybe OD Gen 3's?) before we see a new standard black Gen 5 produced.

I was thinking about other people saying they could just make more, but could the same not be said for allot of the guns that have become collectors pieces? Colt could start mass producing Pythons again but they have not and they are bringing $1000 and up.

I paid $500 for my OD 19 in a private transaction. Barely any ware on the barrel and copper still inside the slide, plus it was a blue label gun, so 3 mags. I was happy considering other peoples asking prices.

Sure, it could be said about allot (but not all) guns that have become collector's pieces. What bearing does Colt making Pythons have on Glock making OD green Glocks again? I'm sorry, but I'm missing the correlation.

Just that Pythons have become very collectable making the price go up.
It seems like OD glocks are also becoming collectable making their price go up as well.

Do you have to swap out the trigger assembly for it to work properly?

My local shop has a G38 .45GAP in OD. I have never seen another one and we sell a lot of Glock pistols.

I wasn't sure since this was my first slide swap 9mm/40 S&W. I read a few threads here at GT on how to do it and figured out that the ejectors are different between 9mm and 40 S&W. The easiest solution was to just swap the trigger assembly. I took them both to the range and fired several full mags with no issues.

Sweet, That is definitely on my wish list. I have always wanted a 10mm, and a OD makes it all the better.

Got lucky and walked into a local gun shop a few months ago and they had a barely used G30 in OD that JUST came in that day - they obviously didnt know what they had as I snatched it up at $500 out the door
