New Ruger MKIII Target, pics
I just bought a new Ruger MKIII 5.5 inch stainless bull barrel, and had a chance to put about 500 rounds through it this weekend. Let me tell you this thing is a shooter! It did not have a single malfunction of any kind, very accurate and just a whole lot of fun!
Here the new toy is
MKIII with my other .22 pistol, a Smith & Wesson 617 6 shot pre-lock.

Have you compared accuracy between the two?
I'd be willing to bet the Ruger is the more accurate.....if you can detect a difference.
congratulations.......

The Mark III is a little more accurate, but both are tack drivers! I am going to get a Weaver 2x scope for the Mark III and se what it can really do.

Congrats on you purchase, I like mine. I'll put a 64 oz soda bottle out at the 50 yard mark and free stand shoot at it and laugh at watching it dance!

Shadyscott69, One nice set up you have there! I have a Burris Fastfire II I might try on my MKIII, I think a red dot would be lots of fun on this pistol.
got2hav1, Thanks. Like all Ruger firearms MKIIIs are a great value, for the price you are getting a heck of a nice gun thats going to last a lifetime.
Other MKIII owners feel free to post pics of your pistols here too.

Get one, trust me they are well worth the money very well built gun. I got mine for well under MSRP, $418 plus background check. Most decent dealers will get you it for under 5 bills no question.

Thanks. That is my rimfire, Steel Challenge gun. I had a Burris FF on it for a while. The Cmore is a much faster sight IMO.
