Pulled about a half a cord of firewood out of roadside swails on my country lane.
Power company leavings. Most of it cherry! some crap mixed in, and a little oak.
heck, 100 bucks I don't have to spend to buy it. Free burns too!
A good portion already the right size, only about half of it needed splitting. Ready for next season once its sat in the sun for a summer.

Is there a gov't website that sells this stuff too?

Over the last 2 weeks I have sold/traded my ruger lcp and tokarev pistols in favor of an lc9 and g17! I got rid of 2 obscure calibers and replaced them with 9mm that I have plenty of! Plus trading the Tok for the g17 gives me a way better pistol!!!

Let us know if you would, how that PPU stuff functions & performs. I've been curious about it for similar reasons, but there's not a lot of online info or reviews of it.

So a sporting goods store in Idaho is selling them cheaper than...Wally World?!? How is that possible? Are they going out of business or something?
Thanks

They dominate walmart and cabelas on prices every single day! Years ago they invested in a wholesale company, so they pretty much sell just above wholesale. Ruger lcp new 299, lc9 330, walther p22 325. Just some recent prices I can remember from them... They're a tremendous resource!

The problem for me is that they are in Idaho. So if I want something I have to pay shipping AND dealer fee. Rarely does it work out to be cheaper than what I can find it for used or from a private sale but it does happen.
Thanks for the info!

Hey EMT... No it was used but well taken care of. Its prob my last purchase (firearm) for a little while. I plan on getting new stock set, new barrell and some extras for it. Will prob cost more than the gun did...lol

Got a chance to try out the Privi 147 gr JHP yesterday.
Paired with the G19/AWC Ti Abraxis wet
..it was very quiet..
..and accurate enough to consistently hit a torso width tree at approx 100 yards distant.
That being said....consistent FTE also..
..but I believe those were due to the aftermarket extra heavy duty captive recoil spring I installed for the G19's normal diet of fairly hot +P ammo.
So yesterday...I ordered an 15 lb spring to go on the SS guide rod..
..should be in sometime next week.
Does this setup look familiar?
Except it has a Clipdraw on the other side...
Also for this week..
Invested some time assisting a fellow prepper with getting the materials for a rugged portable EMP enclosure for NVD & accessories.
I went ahead and ordered more for myself..
..4 each PVS ammo cans, 6 sheets of Ultraperm 80, 3 large 100% copper sheets & also several sets of berylium copper finger stock.
Still waiting for authorization for my project!

The clip draw in lieu of a holster because holsters for suppressed guns are near impossible to find?
What can is that? Doesn't look like it has a ND on it.
Thanks

The Clipdraw has been on that G19 long before I had a suppressor for it..
And I don't concealed carry with a suppressor..
..would REALLY complicate the aftermath of a self-defense shooting!
That being said...if a major SHTF or TEOTWAWKI...

AWC Titanium Abraxis....
..being supplemented with a Silencerco Osprey.
Both can use OEM iron sights..
..or a low profile laser on the rail.
And unlike most suppressors..
..both the Abraxis & Osprey are 'holster friendly'..
..as long as the bottom is open.

A Nielsen not needed with this lightweight can..
..just in this particular instance my aftermarket springs are way too stout for subsonic loads.

That particular model..
..or a 9mm pistol can in general?
(I believe you have some cans..
..but unsure which models?)
The Abraxis is an oldie but goodie (IMO)..
..but there are some really nice centerfire pistol cans available now..
..the Osprey & Ti-Rant to name a couple!
I would consider getting exactly what you want just in case the political winds change again..
..like they did in 1986 with the Hughes Amendment!
Also...the SHTF advantages of running suppressed may someday go from internet pontification to an 'in-your-face' reality!
Currently a 5 month wait if your dealer has it in stock today..
..if not...could be another 4 months for the dealer-to-dealer transfer to go thru!
And regardless of the 2012 hype..
..this is shaping up to be an interesting year!

A bit. I love the silly abraxas. Even on the 19, it's still about as small a package as the old Norrell Ruger suppressed .22LR pistol.
Think about that - a 15-shot suppressed 9mm, roughly the same size and same quietness as a 10-shot .22LR pistol, and the suppressor on the 9mm is even small enough that you can still actually use the gun's factory sights to shoot; that in itself is rare on a centerfire suppressor.
Using the abraxas on a G26, the overall suppressed 9mm package is actually smaller than the .22 pistol is:
You do lose some of the compactness though, when 'properly' set up for the coming zombie-squirrel invasion:
You found a 9mm carbine to use it on yet? That's a hoot, especially with night-vision and an infrared laser/dot dbal setup. This is an old pic, when it was just a normal red dot on the gun. The IR dbal is a huge new world on this gun; makes it a majorly fun night time critter-getter:

Nothing nearly as exciting as the items above. I bought more Eezox just to put away. I have plenty for my guns now. Just wanted to have an untapped supply for storage.

I wanted a DeGroat Nano in the worst way when it came out... not sure if I read bad reviews or what but my interest died down a bit. Still, a multi-caliber can that was effective would be awesome!! Usually the best results are had with cans made for a specific caliber and sometimes specific gun.
My Gem-Tech is nice but I HATE the fact that I can't take it apart to clean. In a few years I'll probably bite the bullet and have it converted to one I can take apart. I know a company or two offers the upgrade since only the outer tube is actually registered.

I have a G26, G19, and G17.
I want a 9mm suppressor.
I don't have any place I can shoot it right now, but I REALLY REALLY want one.
I have 22LR, 45ACP, and 308 suppressors. When I had private property to shoot on, it was very nice.
BTW, This is the year I get my retirement money back on track so I am tightening my belt and not buying anything I don't need. I kind of feel lucky that I only really need to do this for one year.

No place to shoot it?? What, do some ranges not allow suppressors?? That seems bass ackwards to me.
I'd love a 9mm suppressor to btw...
