Picked up a NIB limited edition of a Benchmade AFCK Linerlock in M390 to replace the (1990's era) ones I have in ATS-34
It is now my primary EDC
Though rather pricy...may grab another while I can.
Also considering a LWRC M6 Mod0 SPR
Spent my 2 & 1/2 days off shift traveling out of state to assist in setting up a small AKM Mfg Facility!
Amazing what was accomplished in that time... OSHA training...equipment purchase, layout, & make ready, RTFT (best practices for repeatable results), etc
Operation was producing quality sub-assemblies upon my departure...
Also, I am now 'officially' the Director of Research & Development of a NFA Mfg.
(concerns the invention...now prototype I mentioned a couple of months ago)
Cool as that sounds.....I still have my "real" job to pay the bills.....at least for now!
Some of the components for the AKM builds..

Working on my budget and improving my employment situation. If I really work at it I can be debt free within a year, short of a house debt. Took a test for a job that pays over 3 dollars an hour more than I am making now and has better benefits.

I made bread in one of those a couple of weeks ago, good oven. Make sure that you use black pans, it's very important.

I need to learn more about these. Things like...how to use them in winter, using them hours on end for roasts and such, principles behind them, etc.

You need to buy a solar oven cookbook. My sister in Maine just bought a great book on making bread and sent me one too, here is a link:

Completed two bucket water filter project. Reviewed the filters and purifiers on hand and bought lithium batteries for the steripens.
Continued shedding possessions. Had a client come and haul away stuff for sale at shows. (A significant part of preparations is getting rid of stuff that no longer works or is not needed).

Two QuikClot Blood Clotting Sponge (50 gram)

You're funny.
In an illogical, "let's ignore history in favor of regurgitated platitudes" kind of way; but funny.

Nice week!
Started my week this afternoon by giving basic semi-auto defensive pistol & knife training to my niece..a RN.
Was very pleased with her weapons handling, presentation & marksmanship with the G19!
Presented her with a Benchmade/HK Vex for EDC!
Considering replacing/supplementing the G19s with a couple of CZ P07 Duty (threaded version) as primary suppressed platform
http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/cz-p07-duty/
Quote:
NEW! P-07 w/ threaded barrel – Suppressor ready! Available April 2012
This version of the P-07 Duty has been set up to accept a sound suppressor. The 1/2x28 threaded muzzle accepts most suppressors made for the US market. The sights on this variation are higher than normal. They will clear 1” diameter suppressors and provide a good sight picture with larger diameters when shooting with both eyes open.
cal: 9mm Luger, finish: Black polycoat

Got a chance to T&E + run a belt thru a new Shrike on Friday..
..lots of fun & very nice for the price!
