Making sme great G26 / XS Big Dots progress!

It's been about two months since I traded my 17L for my G26, and so far I've accomplished the following:

This morning, got 9th out of 46 shooters in a 3-stage IPSC match. Was the only one shooting a sub-compact, let alone anything that wasn't full-sized. Over half were using varying degrees of "race guns" (competition-specific Glocks and 1911s mostly). This was my second competition with it, and my first time I got 13th out of 44.

I installed XS Big Dot sights, and my 3rd to the range with them I shot 4 groups at 25 yards, resting my forearms on the bench. I got two 5" groups, a 4.5" group, and a 3.5" (6-shot) group. Oh, this was with warm-loaded 124gr lead bullets out of the stock barrel :P . I have only made three trips to the range with these sights, and improved notably with each one, so I have high hopes of shrinking the groups further!

Oh, and I had a kaboom from an extremely-overcharged load, and not only did the gun survive, but it finished out the range session. The magazine blew apart, but it ended up going back together just fine and has been flawless since (though I make sure it isn't my primary carry mag).

It is so enjoyable and easy to shoot that I have actually slowly been reducing my collection to make way for other hobbies. I still try to get to the range once a week or at least 3x per month, and I still dry-fire practice almost everyday, but the G26 is actually now the only firearm I own and I have honestly never been so satisfied with one of my guns. Obviously, it does everything I really need in a firearm, at least well enough that it isn't worth buying a whole separate gun just for some small feature (like a light rail).

I have occasionally been keeping the 33rder in there for HD, and brought it to the competition today but never used it. So far it has been reliable with it at the range, though.

I also undercut the trigger guard, which really made the grip more comfortable for me. Hand is in the same place, just my middle finger now has a little more room. I have small hands so I imagine someone with larger hands could benefit even more from it.

Going SCUBA-diving next month and I wish I could take it, but it's Mexico so I doubt they would be happy about that :P .
