Been shooting Glocks for awhile now and just got into the loading process seriously though. Want to know if anyone has any input on using Alliants Bullseye powder. I loaded up some 9mm test rounds to shoot from my 19 using 115gr TMJ Speer heads, and Bullseye powder. Starting charge was 4.2 grains and I loaded up to 4.4 grains just to feel them out. 4.2 shot good. Gun ran right and felt right(you who shoot a lot know what I am referring to). However the 4.3-4.4gr were less than adequate. They fired but I was receiving stove pipes and nicked casings, unlike the 4.2gr rds that functioned beautifully with no defects on the casing. All casing were below loading specs in size for the 9x19 casing and I saw no indication of overpressure(i.e. primers were still seated fine).
Just trying to get some SA on this and see if anyone has any input on what they have found to be an acceptable target load.
