My office PC is my 'main control' HDD. I use a networked laptop downstairs in the evenings that I try to keep (more or less) 'synched' to the PC.
I do NOT and will not use web-based synching software even though it would make thing easier. I just don't care to have a copy of all of my records floating through or located on some web-based server... period.
Normally I just do a copy of the 'My Docs' stuff I care to keep current (separately from my scheduled backup of the HDD files to a portable HDD attached to the PC).
My present dilemma is that the last few times I've attempted to 'Export' my PC's Firefox Bookmark files (the backup or the html versions), the laptop says it is unable to process the file, etc. I've newly reinstalled the Firefox on the laptop so that both are currently updated FF 11 copies.
I was able last night to get the html version of my PC's Bookmarks updated on the laptop, but the 'Bookmarks Toolbar' list
doesn't show, even though it's checked in the 'View' drop-down list.
What's the name of the 'Bookmarks Toolbar' file and can I just copy it to the appropriate Profile 'default' folder on the laptop?
