I use a dump pouch hanging off my belt. Its a small dump pouch, and still I think I loaded it with like 30 or 40 shells the other day in a dry run. Its still not as fast as that pinwheel thing--I kinda like that.

These things are amazing. Bit pricey, though. Youtube them for a better description on how they work. The wording makes it seem complicated, but it couldn't be easier.

Is this 870 a 12 gauge? I want to get a Mesa 4 shot for my 20 gauge. If you could do me a favor I would really appreciate it. Could you measure the hole centers on the trigger housing pin holes? Thanks in advance.

Just found out they make these in 20 gauge too. So, never mind.

I want one of these, for only $20. Holds 4-12 round SGM mags. I'm sure I can come up with a better strap. http://acecase.com/magazine-pouch-saiga-4-pack.html

This.

I have 6 round on my 870 Serbu Super Shorty that gives me two full reloads, a 6 round on my 14 inch 870 Police for one full reload and an 8 rounder on my Winchester SX2 which gives me one full tube reload (holds 8+1).

I love the fact that the holders can be removed and replaced as fast as you can pull velcro and you don't run the risk of jacking up your receiver with a hard saddle.

I just installed a VangComp DSAC unit on my 870. Over all of the other "side saddle"-type units I've checked out, this seems to offer the advantage that no threadlocker is required to keep the unit from falling apart. I also like the idea that the replacement trigger group pins are captured in the same manner that the factory pins are, and that you can't bind the receiver by overtightening the pins/screws. Also a plus - the stainless trigger group pins match the silver-colored bolt assembly (it's a blued Police Magnum w/ wood furniture). Another plus - the removable shell carrier can be quickly replaced with another fully-loaded carrier.

I haven't been to the range with the gun yet, but really like what I see so far. I'll certainly report back after doing a few qual courses with it.

i just keep one of those generic 5 round elastic slip ons on the stock. i like the ability to quickly roll it over to the other side of the stock if i have to switch shoulders for whatever reason.

I've been running this Tacstar for 5 years now. It's been through three shotgun courses and I've never lost a shell, nor has it broke or fell off. I'd be curious to know what issues that one poster had?

ETA: I use a comp-tac 6 pack belt shell holder as well.

If it's inexpensive, and Seal Team Six doesn't use it, people will turn their nose up at it. I have no problem with mine, but I don't fast rope onto embassy roofs.

I haven't seen one up close, but there is a speed loader for a tube fed shotgun used in three gun. Hopefully someone has a better link.

I wish I wasn't such a cheap-ass and bought that grip instead of the SAW. Looks comfy. Love my drum.

I've never been a fan of the lopsided feel of a shell carrier on the weapon so I carry on my body. Not into 3-gun so the fancy gadgets don't really work for me either. Instead, I stick to the old school ALICE shell pouches I was trained with many years ago. Unlike using a drop pouch, (I've done that one too) the loops inside the pouch orientate the shells into a consistant orientation every time. Also, they use the old lift-the-dot snaps that are a lot quieter than velcro on the newer MOLLE style pouches I've seen. The velcro on these was a major turn off for me as after each shell was removed and loaded, the flap falls shut so now you have to rip the velcro open again with that familiar velcro noise that comes with this action.

I think I'm going to try one of those elastic ones from SKD before I spend the cash on a Mesa. Worst case senerio I will have some cool 12ga holders I can keep somewhere else.

Blue, #242. It says "removable" on the package and you can get it at Home Depot etc.
