I have a S&W 642-2 bought new by my son a few years ago. Only has a few hundred rounds of FMJ range ammo through it and is in mint condition. If I sell it what would be a fair price to ask for it?

In my area all Concealed type handguns are getting harder to get. We are charging $449.00 for a new J-Frame. They used to be $399 at our Shop and we weren't the cheapest. . I would not take less than $350 if I were selling it. That would have to be a privet sale. A Gun Shop won't give you that.

Mine is a Pro series and I picked it up slightly used for $339. I love it, it shoots great and it easy to hide in my waistband. Hard to beat a good J frame.

Did you ever sell the 642? I'm thinking of selling one of my 442s. I'm going to ask $350. and see what happens. Low mileage, smooth action, and clean.
