Isn't the spirit of IDPA (or at least was initially) supposed to be a "shoot what you carry" type thing? Are you even allowed to use a non-OEM barrel? Sorry for my ignorance, I'm no expert.
Sometimes I carry my g26. Sometimes I carry my 2011. Just what I'm wearing, and how much I'm concerned with printing. My 2011 isn't set up so drastic it can't be a safe carry weapon. The spirit of IDPA is to shoot defensive pistols, which my 2011 is, even if I don't *always* carry it. I definitely prefer it to my glock, though.
I don't always rock out with my glock out, but when I do, it's all the way.

If that is what you carry that is a great rig.
If not, does not make sense compete with something that you don't carry everyday!

Meh, despite what IDPA is supposed to be the top shooters are using custom tuned rigs. No one is using pocket 40 or 9mm guns. Very few are shooting baby glocks. This G22 is as close to my carry as I can get while still being competitive.

My opinion has not changed, great sights. I am enjoying them on both guns now and will likely put them on others as necessary.

I am really liking the Dawson sights. The FO is much more precise than others I have seen, yet is still easy to pick up while shooting. I have ordered one of their fronts for my 1911 as well.
