may have just screwed myself
I bought a new rifle and it is most definitely the most expensive round I have ever reloaded.
Weatherby .30-378 AccuMark, brass is $51/20 (wholesale!), it takes 100+ grains per round and the Barnes boolits ain't cheap.
I have a local smith lapping and mounting a Zeiss 6.5-20X Conquest and putting a custom turret on it, he already tested it and with a crap shop scope and off the shelf loads it is shooting 1/2".
He offered to do a full workup and get it hitting from 300 (zero) to 900 with the best load for $300 and then give me the load data.....
May be worth it with my work schedule to pay him to work it up and then reload my own (considering they are $125/20 for loaded rounds) but not sure. Almost seems like blasphemy.
