Some fancy guns there. The brothers I have are just a couple of working stiffs.

Two Browning's and an FN. The FN gets carried almost everytime I'm out of the house.

I think they're one of the most beautiful pistols ever made.

I like the looks of that thumb safety. It looks like it's big enough to catch it without any trouble. Does the detent lock it in or out of safe securely? I had something similar, but the action was sort of mushy so I took it off.

Yeah there's a spring and bearing there for it to catch with. Very assuring, yet moves back and forth easily with a real positive click.

New hogue grips. Love em, especially with the all black, and slab-side 1911 cut. Sexy pistol, true porn.

The Capitan from '93 and new and unfired until a month ago, this was taken after after the first 50 thru the pipe. It's out to a gunsmith at present.

Sweet Hi Powers!!
Here is a favorite, a forged frame MKIII 9X19. Always a comfort to have on my side.

Well gunsmith's website said 2 to 3 day turn around for the gun.....today is day 17 and no reply to emails I've sent. I guess I better call Mr. Springfield today or tomorrow and if no contact this Wednesday or Thursday I will contact police in Colorado Springs. I'm more worried then normal because of the wild fires in Colorado and possibility of him being burned out.
I guess the possibility of theft is riding me also because a friend took his gun to near by gunsmith and the guy took off with his and other guns. My friend forgot to record the serial number after buying the gun from me and I deleted it from my records, so now he's just out $600 with no real chance of loss recovery from insurance company or police.

Talked to Mr. Springfield and all is well, not in fire area. Seems he has gotten swamped because of it's that time of year when everyone sends guns in for work because of heat and hunting season over. Told him to take his time I'm in no hurry as it's too hot here to go outside to play.

Trigger job and mag safety removed.
My S/A 1911 Omega is at their custom shop for extended beavertail and skeletonized trigger & hammer should be this week.
It's that time of the year, to hot and humid to shoot so off to gunsmith they go.
