It should be noted that the tested round was of the 5-petal LP design. Speer also has a 6-petal design of the same round, which could/should have somewhat different results (although I doubt significantly).

He seems to like the 357sig...and owns a Mossberg 590A1 - a man after my own heart!! Here is another 357sig test:

I believe this load is basically Ranger Bonded - just packaged in 20 round boxes for us civilians... very mean looking when it opens up...

Might as well round this out and add this one, which I think is all he has (for now) in 357 Sig

I find your videos very helpful (this IS you, correct or are you just linking these???...anyway, very helpful)...I'll stick with Speer Gold Dot, Winchester or Remington...thanks!
I prefer a bonded bullet (so it stays together) and a bullet designed and engineered for the 357 SiG and not a 9mm bullet fitted to more powder...

I agree with this completely, and have always felt the same way. For higher velocity rounds (.357sig, 9mm, 10mm, <165gr .40, etc) I would only want to carry a bonded round. Those high velocities can result in core-jacket separation in conventional rounds, which ruins their terminal performance. The bonded rounds should also have superior performance through barriers, like cars, glass, metal, etc.
For subsonic velocity rounds like .45 and heavier .40s, I'm just not as concerned about a round being bonded. In fact, from what I've seen, I actually prefer non-bonded rounds in .45, as I think they have better low-velocity performance. My preferred round in .45 is the non-bonded Winchester Ranger-T 230gr +P, which has some seriously nasty expansion and penetration (based on my own tests as well as videos seen online). The Gold Dot 230gr, on the other hand, I believe is a poor performer and I do not care for it at all. Which is ironic, because my favorite round in .357sig is the Gold Dot 125gr, and my favorite round in 9mm is the Gold Dot 124gr +P.
Oh, and as others have mentioned, thanks for posting these videos. I have been watching all Tnoutdoors' videos for a while now, as well as others, and they are fun to watch. And like many other posters, I also agree that the Gold Dot round is the "class leader" in .357sig.

Subscribe to tnoutdoors9's channel; he rarely posts a video that's not worth watching.
