Thanks, If it performs like it did today I have no regrets.

Good cause I bought a extra today as well. I have a question since you have the same set up.
With the WC mag in the gun and I rack the slide back it locks like it should, but you can not release the slide with the mag in the gun. Now with the Kimber mag in the gun and rack the slide back it locks but you can release the slide while the mag is still in the gun.
Is that normal or do I have the wrong mag? If you can check yours and let me know.
Thanks.

It's the Wilson follower. I just tried them in my LtCdr XSE and it's the same way. The Mec-Gar non-tilt followers are also tough to do it, but not as tough as the Wilson followers.

Thanks for chiming in. I was worried I had the wrong mag or something being new to 1911s. Thanks.

Ouch! That hurts.

At least the trade was a good deal for somebody.

Same thing here with the 47D magazines.

I like Smiths and I liked the 586 but I do not think it is particularly collectible and that is essentially what I was doing, cause I wasn't shooting it. So now I have something to shoot and I still have plenty of revolvers to shoot. So I am OK with the trade.

That's all that matters, my friend.

Congrats again on the Kimber. My CDP has been flawless.

Love the Kimber CDP's. I had the Ultra, but ended up realizing late in the game that I would rather have the higher capacity of a Glock 19 or 23 when carrying. Since the Ultra wasn't getting carried, off to market it went. Still thinking about getting a full-size or a Pro model CDP someday. Enjoy!

I like the Pro model quite a bit.

I have a Pro CDP, but it's been "slightly" modified. It was a great gun right out of the box though. One of the better models that Kimber builds IMO.
