IDPA Masters?
Any idea how many IDPA masters there are? I know a couple, but I wondered if there was a list or number somewhere.

No way there could be a list since the online classification database is not even the official record.

There is talk about getting it going so it is the official record if everyone can get onboard about turning in match results.

I don't need a comprehensive list. I was just curious as to roughly how many there are. I figured IDPA HQ would have a number.

Yes, I made master on Sunday. I've had several people ask me how many masters there are and I didn't have an answer.

Many Congrats.
One of these days I need to get off my butt and make Master in SSR. I have not shot a revo classifier since they introduced SSR as all my revos at the time were moonclip guns. I think Revo and ESP are the hardest to make Master in.
I think IDPA tracks 4/5 gun masters. Maybe.

Agreed, requirements are very difficult in the revolver divisions. I'm not sure why a moon clip revolver only gets 2 more seconds than a SSP. My Glock 9mm is much easier to shoot and reload than my 625s. I think I'm an above average revolver shooter and I'm nowhere near master.
ETA- thanks

Wasn't the Indoor Nationals just last month? You could check the results from that probably get close to the number of professional shooting Master level shooters there are.

Two in my state, myself and Tom Nichols. I am the only 3 gun Master. I would be a five gun Master but I hate revolvers...<g>

That doesn't really mean anything. I know like 5 masters that weren't at Winter Nats. We aren't pros though.

We have Caleb Giddings in the area. He is a 5 gun master. I know of 1 other master also.

There are tons of Master class shooters.
5 gun Masters is a little different story.
I am a lowly 3 gun Master. Only have EX in SSR, and no ESR classification.

We have at least 4 Masters shooting at our club here near Charlotte. Only one shoots at a National level (Morgan Allen). He is the "State Champion" of several states around the country.
3 are ESP shooters, another is SSP.
