Is spear gold dot 124gr with out the +p a good round for g26/g19..one more question , probably a stupid one but im new at this, what does the +p actually do to the round????

One large dept. with the standard load went away from it after at least one shooting where they felt its effect was dismal; another still has it, with some of their staff saying it's fine and the rest insisting they need something hotter based on street experience. On the other hand, the +P version of the Speer Gold Dot is getting rave reviews from NYPD to Las Vegas Metro, again based on actual street performance.

With that in mind, unless I had a gun whose manufacturer considered it too small or weak for +P, I would definitely go with the +P 124 grain Gold Dot 9mm.
