Mas,

I am nearly done reading your "Combat Shooting" book from Gun Digest. An excellent read and full of lots of great information. I especially liked the section on Earp/Cirillo/Askins - a very interesting read.

In the "choices" chapter on page 185 is the following, with reference to the Stressfire defensive shooting system:

"The bottom of the front sight should appear to be resting on the top of the front sight or the top of the triangle"

2 questions:

should it instead say "...resting on the top of the rear sight"?

Also, by "triangle", do you mean a triangle formed by the top of the the front sight as the top of the triangle and the top of the rear sight as the base of the triangle?

OMG, you're right: there's a sentence or part of a sentence dropped out of the middle of that.

It should have read that the front sight appears to sit atop the REAR sight and if you aim with a three dot sight picture, it should look like an equilateral triangle. The shot should strike at the top of the front sight using the "post out of notch" image, and atop the front dot if using StressPoint Index with three dot sights.
