BDC Vs. Mildot

Which do you prefer?

For me, I may do some long plinking after attaching a mildot to an A-bolt, but mostly be using the setup for 100-200 yard hunting. I don't see the need of the dots left right and upward on the mildot, and the BDC has a much easier learning curve.

A BDC binds you to the caliber and load it is made for, while the Mil Dot lets you use it for anything you want but you need to get some ballistic charts for the chosen loads.

HP....that is not true at all......all you need to do is go to the Nikon hunting website and click on the Spot-On app....enter your specific set up info (caliber and load choice) and it will figure out your BDC reticle yardages for you and you can print out a ballistic table (in any different size you need) of "YOUR" BDC hit points.....you can also tweak it some by playing with the magnification level on your scope. Spend some time playing over there...it is cool as heck and an awesome learning tool to boot!
