MOE® Forend – Remington 870 Shotgun
MOE® Forend – Remington 870 Shotgun- Does anyone know if this foreend will clear a 6 shot side saddle? Bishop

It will... watch one of the many SHOT Show reviews of it. Plus, it would be mighty stupid of Magpul to make a part incompatible with one of the most prevalent upgrades on fighting shotguns. Just ordered the forend last night, so I'll be sure to show a few pics.

That's a 4-shot Mesa in the photo. The OP specifically asked about a 6. I agree, though, that it would be awfully short-sighted of Magpul to put out a fore end that didn't work with a 6 round carrier.

870 is the most prevalent shotgun and at this time, Magpul will first produce one for the 870, followed by the Mossberg.

True enough, but I'm pretty sure that would serve as an indicator (being an optimist, I guess). Plus, like I said, I'm certain I saw it in a SHOT Show video. Either way, I've got a Mesa 6-rounder, and the forend is supposed to be here tomorrow... I'll let y'all know for sure when I get it.

From what they've said the handguard does not protrude over the receiver, so a six should clear.

Well I got it on... First impressions are "Wow, this is nice!" I like the feel, I like the options for rails, without them being present when unused. I don't like how it makes the shotgun feel "wobbly". It's not the forend, it's sturdy, but the larger sides give more leverage, and that lets you see more "play" from side to side in the action bars. Not a big deal, but still is noticeable. No fault to the forend, though. Overall, I think it's 10x better than stock. And yes, it fits with a 6-round shell carrier, and I would THINK even the 8-round, because very little overlaps the receiver. The only downside I've found is that if you use a sling plate on the mag tube like me, you'll have to remove it. BUT, Magpul is coming out with a barrel/magazine clamp that has sling attachment points, so that should take care of that issue. Also, it came with a sticker! Which brings out the kid in me.
Sorry I didn't have much time to get better pics, but when I get back, I'll hopefully have a few rail sections and AFG in-hand.

Not exactly... and the fun store didn't have rails or black AFG's, so it'll stay as-is for the moment. Which isn't bad.
