I got my Liontribe Custom

As most of you know GT's Archangel owns Liontribe designs and they make unique knives. I finally got around to ordering one in May and received it last week. It is a scaled up Warthog in O-1 tool steel with Mike's Relic finish that I really dig. This knife is extremely beefy, and while not as primitive as some of his other designs, it still has that aspect. You could probably pry a car door off the hinges with this thing and not even damage it.

As most of you also know I can never leave things as they come. I thinned out the edge and layed it back to 36 degrees inclusive, then sharpened through 10,000 grit and stropped to a laser sharp edge. It wont whittle hair because it's so thick but it will pop them off my arm and push cut phone book paper with ease. Mike sent me an extremely heavy duty chopper with a stout as hell edge that was thick enough too abuse and I turned it in to a blade that could easily be used as a skinning knife.

That is cool. I just put a deposit on a Broadhead 10 minutes ago. I have been talking with him about it since reading the thread on fixed blades, and that picture was posted.
He is great to work with, answering my questions promptly and helping with the specs of the knife. I have never had a true custom knife built the way I wanted it, and can't wait for him to begin building mine.
Again that is a beautiful knife.

I'm considering an angle reduction on mine as well. I don't need a chopper so much as I need to cut.

Looks good Trav.
