Dan Wesson Heritage or STI Lawman

Any thoughts to which would be a better purchase? STI did away with the billboard on the new lawman and I like the way it looks.

I assume your referring to the 5.0 Lawman, not familiar with the Wesson, but I really like the STI triggers

Yes it would be.

Me being a DW fan I would HEAVILY lean toward the DW. Mostly because of the cleaner slide and the MIM issue.

Yes, STI uses some MIM. I currently have three STIs and two Dan Wessons. Given a choice between the Heritage or the Lawman.....I would choose the Heritage.

Pick whichever one you like the looks of better. DW and STI are the two best production 1911 makers out there (although I would argue that Baer, Wilson, NH, and Brown also make "production" guns, but the terminology is a topic for another discussion).

semi old topic but thought I bring it back to life. I'm also looking at the Sti Lawman... I like the 4.0 bc I think they balance better for me. Wouldn't mind going 5.0 though either. I wish more people would post pics of Lawmans.
