carrying discreetly and as comfortable as possible is the key to carrying all the time. unfortunately, it is near impossible to shop for holsters the way you shop for shoes, atleast here in wisconsin where i live. so picking a holster can be pretty much trial and error, asking others what they use is a big part of finding what works. once you find something to work with, practice drawing and handgun retention. being able to draw and protecting your handgun during an assault is the whole reason for carrying. it needs to be worn where you have the best ability to protect it from siezure and can be drawn quickly

Thanks

I definitely enjoy reading the opinions and contributions to my questions. I am learning A LOT. And I would like to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome as opposed to being dumb.

I will post on here Sunday...Saturday is range day for me. I have about 600 rounds all ready to go. MOSTLY because they were recommended by YOU FINE FOLKS.

Thanks Again,

Jeff

You cannot go wrong with any of the major manufacturer's premium self defense rounds. I am biased towards Gold Dots, personally, but your G23 will eat all brands like candy. My 3rd Gen G23 has been flawless through thousands of rounds.

I use 165 Gr Win Ranger HPs in my G23. Once a year I shoot a couple carry mags of them through the G23 at IDPA just to make sure all is still good then I put some fresh in for the next 12 months. Rest of the time just my reloads either 180s or 165s.
Yea, that caught my eye as well. 155g Gold Dots here.
