Very nice find. The p225 is a great pistol. I have a p6 that I bought a few years ago and I love it!

Congratulations, you should try carrying it to truly appreciate how incredibly good the gun is. I am carrying opt as I write this, and I find it amazing that after all these years it's still a first class carry gun, in my opinion way superior to the 239 which is top heavy and too small for me.
The combo 225-228 is authoritative and timeless.
A nice refinishing, like the one from ColdBlooded above, it's my next step. They look really fantastic when the job is done right.

P225
Congrats on a nice looking example. The P225 is a great pistol. Almost everyone loves the ergos on the P225. I have my P6 with me right now. Great guns, congrats again.

It will be cooler than a P228.

congratulations on a very nice example. the P225 is simply the most ergonomically pleasant handgun that bears the Sig Sauer name. i also have a KA (1990) example, and it's a sweet shooter that's been utterly reliable.
btw... should you want an extra set of factory grips for your P225 (identical to yours)... TGS (Top Gun Supply) on the internet currently has a sale on factory new P225 grips; $9.95 per set. i've made many purchases from TGS and never been disappointed.

Lemme guess, a uber rare stainless steel frame/carbon steel slide P228?

I think all the P225's had those grips. The pistol was introduced in the 70's and I don't think the grips were ever updated before production ended.
I could be wrong, but I'm sure someone here knows...

I think you are correct...nice pistol and if they fit you they are one of the best from SiG...some get pinched by the magazine base plate but there is a guy who makes replacements that mate up with the edge of the frame...enjoy...

I enjoy my 225 very much. Not till I have my hand on my S&W 39, it was my favorite compact 9mm.
