I would like to ask your suggestions for pepper spray for my daughter who is a grad student (22 years old). She lives off campus in a two story duplex type apartment which is all student housing.

I would like to get her some pepper spray specific to being for the home. Do you have any suggestions on the type to get?
Not necessarily a name of a brand (although welcome) but type such as cone, stream, gel or foam etc etc.

What would work best indoors? A concern of mine would be a cone indoors may affect her escaping from the house. Is that where a gel would do well?

Seems to me that gel or streamer would have an advantage in that situation.
