I know I'm generally a little paranoid... But did anyone else ever hear an odd sound at night that sounded like from within the home or the perimeter that completely thwarted any attempt to sleep afterwards? I heard what sounded like a tapping on the bedroom window (upstairs so rare chance someone was tapping it.) I carefully snooped around the windows of the house, wasn't gonna bother going outside. Saw nothing, that and well if someone really wants to get in one of the security systems will go off (the alarm system or the family German Shepard Jackie.) point is I've heard random noises over the years that completely ruined my chances of sleep. Wondering if these things bother anyone else?

If my dogs don't bark then I don't worry about it. I have 3 dogs and one barks at anything. The other two will only bark if it's something to be concerned about.

I've always been a light sleeper (and strange noises in the night don't help!) but my dogs keep vigil over me when I do drift off. I really should work swing shift so I could sleep during the day :(

A couple of years ago I worked night shift 11pm-7am I was miserable for 7 months. I'd sleep from 8:30am then Just naturally wake up around 10:30-11:00am and never get to fall back asleep however hard I tried. Some people don't have the issue but a lot of guys I know had similar issues.
