Glock 22 accuracy

I own a Gen 3 RTF Model 22. It shoots 4-6 inches right @ 7 yds. I have it sighted in however the rear sight is far to the left and it looks goofy. I have also tried a aftermarket barrel and guide rod...no difference. I am a experienced shooter and a reasonably decent shooter..
It seems to me it is the slide to barrel fit. Anyway, I called Glock they send it in (on my dime or 70 bucks to over night it). Frustrating when it is a Glock's problem and not something I did or the way I shoot. Rant off.

Willem,
That is frustrating, but I do have an option that might be a bit cheaper for you if you decide to send it in.

While FedEx and UPS require overnight unless you're a business mailing 50+ handguns a day (so said my FedEx account rep), your friendly neighborhood gunshop can mail via the USPS for you and they can send priority mail. Full insurance on your Glock with mailing, around $20 (I think $18 if memory serves). Then, you just need to pay them a transfer fee -- another ~$20. So, for $40, you can have it done as opposed to $80+.

I realize it's not really a perfect solution, but we mail things for our customers every once in a while. Not too bad.

Your gunshop just has to fill out this form and take it with them to the post office.

Wow that's a really weird problem your Glock has. Be sure to keep us all posted. I'd like to know how that happens.

Could your barrel be bent or maybe something to do with the bore?

I remember this thread from a month ago. Did Glock ever figure out what was wrong with your gun?

I actually have an M&P that is doing something similar only it's shooting to the left and not quite as far off.

Have you tried letting someone else fire your pistol?
If so what was the result?

Hmm,

The rear sight is cranked all the way to the LEFT (making any half decent gun shoot way left), yet its still shooting way RIGHT, at 7 yards, no less.

With the sights in the middle of the slide this gun would therefore shoot 8+" to the RIGHT @7 yards. Thats inconceivable. The barrel would have to sit visibly skewed in the gun for this to happen.

I have the same feeling. At that range something would be visibly wrong with the barrel/slide alignment.

I agree. My brother in law couldn't figure out why his Beretta was shooting low and left. I shoot it and its dead on. In no way am I saying you don't know how to use your gun, but if it were me I'd let someone else give it a whack and see how it shoots for them.
