I'm new around here, but love knives. I'm mostly a folder guy, but just ordered my first fixed blade. I ordered an ESSE Izula. Can't wait to get it.

From memory. 2012 purchases.

Just got a Kershaw OD2 last night.
Purchased a small lockback from a U.P. Michigan maker called Rapid River Knifeworks.
Benchmade mini griptilian
SOG Aegis Camo

Nice bunch of knives!

I've added a few myself, including 5 Hinderers and about 8 or 9 Sebenzas. I also just got my first CRK Ti-Lock, a William Henry, a few nice kitchen knives, a ZT560, a ZT350, another ZT200. Plus I inherited a complete set of Henckels kitchen knives.

My knife-buying has slowed down considerably as I'm starting to conclude that I only have so many uses to which I can reasonably apply the knives I already have...

This year's purchases were a Spydie Sage 1 (second from left) and a Perrin PPT (second from right):

I also got the small SOG tomahawk, if that counts...

Picked up two Fiddleback Forge knives off of BF. A "tuxedo" Day Hiker and a Bloodwood Bushcrafter. ALMOST bought a beautiful Recluse but was able to stay strong.

That Sage is a very sweet EDC. I grab mine for "polite" occasions.

Totally agree...!

Sometimes, I find that I grab it even when I can accommodate a bigger knife, just because it's so handy.

Cool scales. I Tek-Locked one of my Izula's and my 3, handy way to carry. Who built the sheath?

Thanks, I think I do, too. I've got one of the earlier Insingos, and the blade is a little more "Wharncliffy". I don't like that one as much, I'm going to sell it.

Agreed, You now have the benefits of a very strong tip and just enough belly to promote superior slicing. Nice score.
