New 17,19 or 34 Non-dipped Extractor? First 3 of Serial #

If anyone has a new 17, 19 or 34 that came with a non-dipped extractor would you please post the first 3 of your serial number.

so with the non dipped extractor, you are still getting bttf? If so, what does it matter if you get a dipped or non dipped extractor then?

It seems the Gen 4 guns are easier to fix in this respect. The new extractor seems to be doing it in most cases, based on posts here and elsewhere. Also the Apex extractor seems to work pretty well in the Gen 4 guns from what people are reporting.

The Gen 3 guns seem to be a thornier problem. Apex is trying to develop an extractor specific to the Gen 3 guns. People trying the new non-dipped Glock extractor on their Gen 3 guns aren't having as much luck. I don't think anyone knows exactly why as yet.

FWIW the new extractor made a huge difference in my Gen 4 G19.

Yes, no question. BTF. I am an experienced Glock shooter (17, 19, 21, 23, and 27). I'm not stressed out about this because I live about 15 miles from Smyrna. Planned diagnoses is as follows

A. Test with extractor, load bearing / spring, FP safety and spring from a 2005 G17 this Saturday

B. If I still have issues, back to original parts, then swap to new gen 4 ejector comming from MidwayUSA

C. If I still have issues, add the group A 2005 parts with the gen 4 ejector

D. If I still have issues, off to Smyrna

If I lived 15 miles from Smyrna that would probably be my first step if for no other reason than to see what they do to it.

As much as I like the techs and service at Smyrna, they are close the the vest with info sometimes. I've also got this 2005 17 for parts swapping. Add to that a ton of Blazer aluminum and Blazer brass 9mm. It will be fun finding what the exact cure was.

Range Report

Haven't received the 30274 ejector that I ordered 2 days ago, so took the Gen 3 19, TTL***, to the range with the load bearing / spring, safety plunger / spring, extractor from my 2005 G17.

After 100 rounds, 50 Blazer aluminum and 50 Win NATO, I had no BTF and all cases ejected to the right. Next is to add the original load bearing / spring back. I think it's the original non-dipped extractor causing BTF's. Testing will tell.
