FNG from Fredericksburg
Hello everyone,
I am about to pick up my very first Glock from my FFL this week. It is a Glock 23 Gen 4 in FDE.
I was debating really, really hard between the Glocks and the M&Ps. I wanted something to conceal but I did not like the size of the M&P compacts. The full size M&Ps were absolutely perfect in my hands as far as grip but it was just too big to try and conceal. So that left me with the Glock 23, I can't wait to get it and take it for a run. And I look forward to use this message board as a source of information and knowledge.
This will sound nuts but I traded a Sig P226 for the Glock (NIB) because I use a high grip, thumbs forward and my thumb rested on the slide release which meant the slide would NEVER lock to the rear on the last round; It drove me NUTS. I tried adjusting my grip but I figure, hey if I have to adjust my grip than its not for me.
Just a bit about myself I am from the Fredericksburg, VA area. I am former Marine and OIF veteran and photography is a big hobby of mine....along with video games . I look forward to interacting with you all!

Welcome Glad you're getting your 1st Glock. Bet you'll have an M&P before you know it too!

Glad you are on board. You'll love the Glock. I went years before I got one....never liked the idea nor the look. One time was all it took and now I am hooked. I own several now. Semper Fi!
